50 YEARS OF EXPLORING FRONTIERS
For millennia, Asia has provided uncharted waters for academics and practitioners of disciplines ranging from politics and security, to languages and arts, to economics and business. Even today, Asia provides myriad frontiers: how are global security relations going to change with the death of Kim Jung-Il? To what extent is China's economic development going to change global economic and business practices? What will happen to the democracy movement in Myanmar? With English posing as the global lingua Franca, what will become of group and even national identities reflected in hundreds of diverse Asian languages? For the past 50 years, WCAAS has been about exploring these and other frontiers, and we invite you to participate in the 50th anniversary of the WCAAS conference and explore frontiers with us.
